HEALTH
The newest edition of doc! photo magazine (48th already!) focuses on Health as one of the most important challenges facing our humanity. Since the COVID-19 pandemic its meaning for all of us increases on both, personal and global levels. The number of confirmed cases, the number of deaths are frightening. They show how unprepared we are for similar challenges. Meanwhile, scientists warn that even more dangerous viruses are waiting for us. No matter if man-made or zoonotic. And yet we have to fight not only viruses. We are still looking for effective treatments for many diseases that we have known for a long time. We are still unable to cope with various types of traumas that effectively exclude us from life, push us to the margins of society, or lock us up in specialised institutions for many years. These are just some of the topics we (try to) cover in the latest issue.
